School ICT Network Cabling
We are approaching the summer term break which is a busy time for schools carrying out no end of projects within the short window of time while the school is closed.
Every year PSP receive calls from
- Frantic builders who have dug up fibre links while installing footings for the school’s new extension
- Electricians who have cut a cable within a ceiling void that happens to be the main fibre backbone link
- Network engineers who have been working in the comms cabinet and have moved a fibre patch panel and now it doesn’t work!
- IT engineers who just need help over the phone to overcome fibre routing issues
We will be here to help this year just as we have been in the past.
PSP are the principle cabling contractor for the Oasis group
Oasis Community Learning is one of the largest and fastest growing multi-Academy sponsors in England, with 40 Academy schools opened since 2004.
Our mission is to create and sustain a network of excellent learning communities where pupils can realise their full potential. Oasis Academies demonstrate high levels of improvement.
On average, each secondary academy has increased the number of students obtaining five plus GCSEs A*-C (including English and maths) by 23 percentage points on their predecessor school. Similarly Oasis primary Academies this year showed students on average making better than expected progress in reading, writing and maths.
As well as delivering first-class and innovative education, Oasis builds 'Hubs' in the places it works. Hubs provide integrated and diverse services to benefit the whole community.
In addition to this PSP carry out work for many other schools across the country
Jobs booked in for this summer
- Bluecoat school Oldham – 10 Gig fibre upgrade
- Bishop Heber School Malpas - 10 Gig fibre upgrade
- Oasis Academy Shirley park Croydon 10 Gig fibre upgrade

With the growing demand for additional bandwidth due to faster backbone Switches and the need to network additional media such as CCTV Many schools are finding that their existing fibre links are outdated.
