A physical inspection is quite easy, are there any signs of physical damage? What if the cable is underground or I can't see it? We have an Optical time-domain reflectometer (ODTR) that pinpoints dead spots to within 1.8m and we can be onsite within a few hours to test and repair a fibre optic network.
